"Master of Complications". That is the nickname of the man who invented the most complicated wristwatch in the world, with 36 complications and 1483 components.
The history of this prestigious brand is notable for how recently it began. At the end of the 1980s, Frank Muller met and teamed up with Vartan Sirmakes, whose speciality – cases – proved complementary. The Manufacture Frank Muller was officially founded near Geneva in 1991.
Muller’s genius was to buck the trend for quartz movements, gambling instead on mechanical watches with complications.
The Cintrée Curvex began to be noticed for its curved body and the boldness of its royal blue dial.
With production of 40,000 watches a year, Frank Muller is more in vogue than ever, and already has 6000 retail outlets in around 100 countries. In a very short space of time, Frank Muller was able to establish itself at as a leader among the major Swiss watchmakers and maintains its reputation by continually offering its customers dynamic and diverse products.
