The clock must have suffered from a fall as both the front and back door are misaligned. The movement is currently fully wound and not running. The chain will need to be re-fastened to the winding barrel. The gilding to the case is original, however worn overall. The cartouche numerals to the dial have some discoloration..This lot is accompanied by a key.

    Descripción : A very rare, and probably unique example. It is quite possibly Charles Fasoldt's vision of a marine timepiece. The most fabulous aspect of this piece is that given the size of the movement, one can easily see the details of Fasoldt's very special escapement. It is a fascinating example for any lover of American horology..The movement is running and there is pitting to the bridges and plates. The case appears to be original, as does the dial. It is interesting to compare the engraving of the dial on the present example to that on the dial on lot 1..W/KEY
