Descrizione : Lenoir, Paris In the form of a cupola, the dome surmounted by a putti playing a lyre, enriched with floral studies within gilt borders on a bleue celeste ground, over stiff leaf mouldings and the signed enamel Arabic and Roman minute and hour dials, bordered by four oval portrait panels each depicting a French Queen, raised on an elaborate entablature and eight composite columns on a shaped plinth base inset with further floral panels, the signed drum movement with indirect winding, lever platform escapement (faults), outside countwheel striking the hour and half hour on a bell. 78.5cm (31in) high.
